One of the social voluntary organizations of Kushtia, ‘Swapna Prayas Jubo Sangsthan’ celebrated its 5th anniversary by cutting cake at a restaurant in the city on Friday afternoon.
In conducting by the organization’s president Sadiq Hasan Rohid and general secretary Mehrab Hasan Mushfique, the event was graced by Kushtia Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land), Dabir Uddin, the organization’s chief advisor, eminent writer and researcher Dr. Amanur Aman, Associate Professor of English Department of Kushtia Government Women’s College Ajay Maitra, President of Human Rights Welfare Trustee Kushtia District Branch Ruhul Amin, President of Human Rights Organization Shahabuddin Milon, President of Wushu Association Kushtia District Branch SM Jamal, General Editor Vipul Hossain, In-charge of Time’s Diganta Patrika Editor Nabbir Al Nafiz and others were also present at the event.
On the occasion, Kushtia Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Dabir Uddin said, “The youth will take the country forward. Progress will come through their hands. That is why the youth society should be properly promoted, made efficient, and educated with proper education. I am very happy to know that this organization is working for the welfare of people.” Besides that, he requested all the members of the organization to continue this trend.
The organization’s chief advisor and a prominent writer and researcher, Dr. Amanur Aman said, “Swapna Prayas Jubo Sangstha is the real work that they are doing with their own money. They are definitely the most respected in the society. Society will always remember them. There is no record of anyone calling specifically for blood and not receiving blood from this organization. Among many social organizations, many good works are being done by Swapna Prayas Jubo Sangstha. I wish this organization well.”
Vice President of ‘Swapn Prayas Jubo Sangstha’ Farcha Nahar Noushi, members, such as, Akash, Obaidul, Sabbir, Chamak, Tanzil, Rabbi, Omar, Saim, Yasmin, Abid, Sohan, Bipasha and others were present in the event.
‘Swapn Prayas Jubo Sangstha’ organization officially started its journey in 2018. After many ups and downs, this voluntary organization has become a place of trust for the helpless people in Kushtia. Recently, ‘Swapn Prayas Jubo Sangstha’ won the Jagar Award for the best organization in recognition of social and voluntary organizations.
Since the establishment of ‘Swapn Prayas Jubo Sangstha’, the organization has provided 5,500 bags of blood to various poor people on an emergency basis with the help of the organization as well as various organizations. Also, the number of donors (people willing to donate blood voluntarily) in the organization is about a hundred.
