Five hundred aspirants have collected nomination form to contest as Awami League nominated candidate for the post of chairman in the upcoming 61 Zilla Parishad elections in the country.
The party candidate for the post will be finalized at the joint meeting of Awami League’s Parliamentary Nomination Board and Local Government People’s Representative Nomination Board on Saturday at 4 pm.
The nomination form was costs Tk 25,000.
Sale of forms started at the party president’s political office in Dhanmondi on Sunday.
Sale and submission of forms will continue from 11 am to 5 pm every day till Thursday.
