Three people with a seven-month-old baby were killed and three others were injured as a bus strikes into an auto-rickshaw, which is run by CNG, in Sirajganj's Salanga area this morning.
The deceased were identified as Chanbanu, aged 50, of Ullapara upazila, Dolly Akter, aged 25, of Fazle Khan, and her son, Nihan, who is only seven-month-old.
The accident occurred near the Nalka Bridge on the Sirajganj-Hatikumrul highway at 8 am on Thursday, according to aid Badrul Kabir, chief of Hatikumrul Highway Police Station.
The injured were taken to a hospital, he also said.
Although the police seized the bus, the driver, along with his helper managed to escape, he added.
