Dipu Moni inaugurated Virtual Classroom app for universities

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni inaugurated the ‘Virtual Classroom’ app to connect all the universities of the country in online education.

All public and private universities in the country should be integrated in this classroom under online education. Online tests can also be taken in the app in the virtual classroom.

This app will also have the facility of test evaluation. Science education will also be possible in virtual classrooms.

State Minister for Information and Communication Junaid Ahmed Palak presided over the event app organized by A2I on June 23.

Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of various universities and the Secretary of the Ministry of Secondary and Higher Education Mahbub Hossain, Secretary of Information and Communication Technology Department NM Ziaul Alam and others concerned joined.

With the election manifesto in mind, the ‘Virtual Classroom’ app was launched under online education on the founding anniversary of the Awami League, said the Education Minister.

“As the type of work is changing rapidly, we will have a large number of students who will need to acquire new skills. It will no longer be possible for them to come to the classroom and acquire new skills. In that case online education will work as a big help. For many students, the online education system will be the only medium,” Education Minister at the opening ceremony said.

She said, “Virtual classes will continue in all the universities of the country in the future as well.”

She said, ‘We had to go into the online education system after a few years, because of the Corona situation we had to do it first. In order to meet the challenge of Vision-2041 and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, we have to transform our population into human resources. Students need to acquire new skills, so online education will be a great help to students.
The Education Minister said, “The Ministry of Education and ICT is working on how to provide this opportunity to the 10 per cent students who are not able to access online education, whether loans can be given, whether the cost of internet can be reduced, how to implement it.”

In the inaugural session of the two-and-a-half-hour program, the education minister said, “We had to go into the online education system after a few years.”

Regarding online science education, the education minister said, “It is not that online science education cannot be done in any way, many universities in the world have virtual laboratories. This is not impossible. We will face whatever challenges we may have. We don’t have a chance to get stuck anywhere. Our mindset can hold us back. So teachers, students and parents need to change their mindset.

Teachers will upload their classes by adding all the universities of the country in the virtual classroom. Teachers and students will enter this app. Teachers will be able to learn about their next day’s classes. Students will also be able to know the information of his subject class. Live classes will also be available in this app.
