Twelve police superintendent rank officers have been replaced from their present work place.

In the new arrangement, the Superintendent of Police in Kushtia SM Tanvir Arafath has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner to Barisal Metropolitan Police while Deputy Commissioner of Barisal Metropolitan Police Khairul Alam has been made as Kushtia Superintendent of Police.

The transfer was ordered in a notification issued by the Home Ministry's Public Security Department on Monday (February 8th).

According to the notification, Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police Hamidul Alam has been transferred to Highway Police, Bagerhat Superintendent of Police Pankaj Chandra Roy has been transferred to Dhaka CID.

Jamalpur Superintendent of Police Delwar Hossain has been transferred to Dhaka CID, Narail Superintendent of Police Mohammad Jasim Uddin has been transferred as Deputy Commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police.

Patuakhali Superintendent of Police Mohammad Mainul Hasan has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. Gazipur District Superintendent of Police KM Ariful Haque has been transferred to Bagerhat.

CID Special Superintendent of Police Nasir Uddin Ahmed has been given the charge of Superintendent of Police in Jamalpur District, while Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Prabir Kumar Roy has been given the charge of Superintendent of Police of Narail District.

Chittagong Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shahidullah has been transferred as Patuakhali District Superintendent of Police.

Rangpur CID Special Superintendent of Police Milu Mia Biswas has been given the charge of Khagrachhari APBN Commandant.

Kushtia SP Tanvir was criticized for abusing a judicial magistrate in recent completed Bheramara municipal elections. The judicial officer lodged a written complaint with the Election Commission on January 16 seeking action against him. The High Court summoned him later in the incident. Tanvir expresses remorse for his "disrespectful" behavior and apologizes unconditionally.
